Vintage Towers, one of the finest bed and breakfast Inns in Sonoma County. Located in Cloverdale, California, the inn sits at the crossroads of four wine valleys – Russian River Valley, Anderson Valley, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek Valley. Situated on a tree-lined street, the Inn is just one block from gourmet dining, shopping, and special events.
This lovingly preserved Queen Anne Victorian, built in 1901, is privileged to be listed on the United States Register of Historic Places. The Vintage Towers once was owned by wealthy merchant and mining executive Simon Pinschower. In 1901, he hired Petaluma architect Brainerd Jones to design the beautiful Queen Anne victorian structure, which originally had one round tower in the front of the house. In 1913, the subsequent owner commissioned Jones to add two additional towers, which inspired the Inn 's name. Each tower was built in a different shape -- one round, one square, and one octagonal, setting the house apart from others of its day. Many details and accents are original to the house and in remarkable condition.
The Inn's spacious and finely restored guestrooms offer a warm and inviting setting reminiscent of more graceful times. Guests are provided with a choice of seven uniquely different guest rooms, three of which are tower suites with TV's and fireplaces. All rooms have featherbeds, luxury linens, private baths with claw foot tubs and/or showers, central air conditioning and wireless internet access. Each room of the Inn, including the large dining room and two parlors, has been decorated with fine period antiques, collectables and Asian artifacts, reflecting a period of beauty and serenity. Breakfast, served in the gorgeous wood-paneled dining room, prepares guest for a day of wine tasting and exploring the lovely countryside. The 40-foot long veranda, with its old-fashioned swing offers a cool spot on Cloverdale's warm spring and summer days. In the evening, assorted home-baked refreshments await you on the veranda or in the library.
During the day, have a professional massage in your room, nap on the wisteria-covered 40 foot veranda, visit Lake Sonoma, or go wine tasting at one of the 100+ wineries nearby. Hosts Don and Mary have maps, winery information, special tasting discount coupons and insider tips for you at the Inn. They would be delighted to arrange tastings and private tours not available to the general public. In addition, the picturesque town of Healdsburg is just 15 minutes away, with its world-class restaurants and tasting rooms, unique furnishing and antique shops, art galleries and boutiques and much more.
